Last Friday, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) held its 35th biennial convention, one of the largest national meetings of Republicans this year and the organization's official kick-off of the 2010 political season, in Orlando. More than 2,500 Republican women gathered with state and national elected officials to celebrate incredible milestones on the heels of the 70th anniversary of NFRW.
On August 22, the Republican Party of Florida celebrated the 2009 Statesman?s Dinner at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida. Governor Charlie Crist, Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp, Attorney General Bill McCollum, Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson, Senate President Jeff Atwater, House Speaker Larry Cretul, members of Florida?s Congressional Delegation and State House and Senate, RPOF Chairman Jim Greer and other Republican elected officials and statesman from across the State of Florida gathered to celebrate Republican achievements and to look towards the 2010 elections next fall. Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota delivered the keynote address.
I am proud to support my friend Bill McCollum as Floridas next Governor. At this critical time in our states history, we need a chief executive who will meet our challenges head on and stay true to the core conservative principles of limited government, fiscal discipline and the protection of liberty tempered by personal responsibility.
Bill McCollum is a tested and accomplished leader who will tackle the tough decisions with the commitment and focus expected from the CEO of government in the nations fourth largest state. Florida needs Bill McCollum, and I will work hard to ensure he is elected our next Governor.

The pressure for Sink to take a position on this controversial legislation has been mounting in recent weeks, but given the recent financial fate suffered by her Democrat colleague Congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas, Floridians will likely have to hold out in Alex Sinks Health Care Waiting Room.
