Faith and Values Define the Republican Party

• Republicans believe, as the Founding Fathers before us, that God was a major factor in the creation of this nation. Efforts to remove Him from society altogether must be reversed.
• The Republican Party of Florida believes that building a "culture of life" is vital to the health of our nation.
• The Republican Party of Florida views marriage between one man and one woman as an irreplaceable structure that should be upheld.
• Republican led state government passed legislation to require parental notification before the termination of a minor’s pregnancy.
• The Florida Legislature recently passed legislation to divest the Florida pension fund of financial sectors and businesses that deal with the governments of Iran and the Sudan, sending a message to the Iranian and Sudanese governments that Florida will not idly stand by and allow businesses that operate in Iran and the Sudan to foster terror.
• Governor Crist recently sent a letter to 49 other state governors asking them to join Florida in this effort, noting, "As demonstrated by the end of apartheid in South Africa, when a light shines to expose oppression and extremism, the days of injustice are numbered. May we each gather the courage to defend freedom around the globe and make it a reality for future generations."
