For the second time in three days a nationally recognized pollster shows Republican Attorney General Bill McCollum with a double digit lead over Democrat Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, up from a five point lead one month ago.

“Today’s Rasmussen poll is yet another example of Florida voters quickly turning away from Democrat Alex Sink and her liberal friends in Washington,†said Republican Party of Florida Communications Director Katie Betta. “Alex Sink’s claim to be a moderate ‘Florida Democrat’ doesn’t even resonate with her own pocketbook, which she uses to line the campaign coffers of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, let alone with hardworking Florida families and business owners.â€

“In poll after poll, Floridians are letting Alex Sink know that ducking important issues, financing liberal Washington insiders and wasting taxpayer money and time counting office supplies just doesn’t cut it,†concluded Betta.

Republican Mccollum Leads Democrat Sink In Another Florida Governor Poll

Florida's Republican state Attorney General Bill McCollum leads Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, the Democrat, by 46 percent to 35 percent with 5 percent preferring someone else and 13 percent undecided, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Jan. 27. The margin of error is 3 points.

Rasmussen says there has not been much movement in this race. In its last three polls dating back to October, McCollum's support has been between 44 percent and 46 percent while Sink's numbers ranged from 35 percent to 39 percent.

A Quinnipiac University poll conducted Jan. 20-24 had McCollum ahead 41 percent to 31 percent with 25 percent undecided, which was 4 points bigger than its previous poll.
