The Committee of Arrangements today announced host hotels for the 56 Republican delegations that will attend the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-Saint Paul where the GOP will formally nominate Sen. John McCain as the Republican candidate for President of the United States.
For over a month now, Republicans across Florida and around the country have been uniting behind Senator John McCain, busy preparing for a general election campaign that will result in the election of the next Republican President of the United States. Meanwhile, Florida Democrats are left without a nominee and lack a decision on if their 1.7 million votes will be counted towards the selection of their Party’s nominee.
Last week, Karen Thurman and Howard Dean made a big show of announcing that Florida’s Delegation will be seated in Denver, but neither has a plan for how to do it, and neither campaign has signed on.
From the looks of things, while the RNC recognized Florida’s importance in selecting the next President, granting the delegation a hotel assignment large enough to accommodate the entire delegation, Florida Democrats will be enjoying the Denver Convention from a more rustic location.
